GMIT New Frontier Phase II Participants 2019

A group of people with innovative start-up ideas have commenced the New Frontiers (Phase II) Entrepreneurship Programme delivered by GMIT at its Innovation Hubs in Galway and Mayo.

Tony O’Kelly, GMIT New Frontiers Manager, says: “These start-ups evolved from 109 applicants at the start of the 2019 programme. We believe there is massive potential for success in these new ventures and we have high expectations these new companies will play an important role in the future economic development of our region.”

Barry Egan, Enterprise Ireland Director West, says: “The New Frontiers Programme delivered by GMIT in Castlebar and in Galway is a valuable part of Enterprise Ireland’s supports for ambitious start-ups in the west of Ireland. The new group of entrepreneurs starting their six months incubation programme are an exciting mix of ventures across a range of sectors including Agri, ICT, Lifesciences. We look forward with interest to seeing these early-stage entrepreneurs turn their ideas into sustainable companies that will trade and prosper internationally from the west.”
